As a burned out mechanic that was making no money, I decided it was time
for a change. I looked into many different professions but nothing
really grabbed my attention like OTR Trucking. I always
had a love for traveling and had wanted to drive a "Big Rig" since I was
young. But you know how life gets in the way sometimes. I was already
attending collage to become a Network Engineer when it hit me, "I have to do
it". I mentioned it to my wife and she said "You must be crazy". "No" I
said, "I'm serious". After a few weeks of debate, she finally agreed.
I started doing research on the web. Then I went to a truck
stop and talked to some truckers about their experiences. I even bought one
of them lunch (truckers never turn down a meal and are always ready to tell
their stories). By this time i was convinced this was the life for me. I had
been checking into the different ways to obtain a CDL and there was an add
for CR England that said they would train me and if I passed, hire me. I
enrolled in their school in Mira Loma, CA. and started the following week.
It was long hours for 21 days in a row.

It has been two and a half years since then. A lot has
changed as many of you know that have been following my blog. Do I have any
regrets? No way. I now pull a RGN Double drop trailer and haul mostly wide,
tall, and heavy loads.
